TTC What The??
Concept
This is a project based on the concept of political text. So I thought of the direction of protest. But I didn’t want to do some very sensitive political topic yet TTC did me a big favour of raising the fares by that time (early 2023). As they announced to raise the fare, there are a lot of discussion about public transit should be free and by the delay and service interruption that TTC has, raising fare should be the last thing that they do. So I chose to use the public opinion as the base to create the project to show how public hate such a decision and the reason why people think TTC service sucks.
Execution
I took the template of the TTC poster to photoshop it and change it to the slogan that against the decision of raising fares. The original text is “Probably Won’t Get Caught; Chances are you will” and “No big deal; Actually it is. It’s Stealing and it’s against the law'.” I use the original slogan as the base and alter it as passenger’s opinion towards TTC. And I found the tweets on Twitter (X) that is about delay and passenger complain as the additional graphic to the poster to show how easily the TTC service got interrupted.
