University of Tuition (With Tears)
Concept
This is a project of spatial text. The project requirement is to make a text design matching the site. And I saw a lot of post about tuition fee and stress about studying in UofT and the name U of Tears when I was in first year. I wanted to make fun of it by the time, so I made a final diploma like receipt for this project to show what the Bachelor degree cost. And I chose to put the work on the entry of registrar office as it is the most related administration department for studying in the University.
Execution
I found a UofT graduation certification sample online to find the font that match the most and use the colour detector to match the colour of the text on the certificate first. Then I use photoshop to do the layout and pasting the crop elements like the school badge, the big stamp at the middle bottom and the 3 signatures on it. And went to the printing shop to find the closest paper texture that looks like a certificate and print it out and crop it to the aspect ratio that match the real certificate.
